products that don't test on animals, test on human cells--cells that have already been removed from the human body. no humans actually come in contact in the testing process. it's completely humane. so therefore, why are thousands of companies still testing on animals when they don't have to?

well in that case, it's probably a lot cheaper and easier.

Meh. I don't give a shit either way. If a product I enjoy is tested on animals, why should I care?

Animals can't volunteer themselves for testing. They have no voice.
Between 25 and 50 billion animals are killed each year for animal testing, which is a complete failure. Why? Because humans and animals are completely different, so the way we react to a product will be completely different than they do.
Products and drugs that pass animal testing still end up harming humans 61% of the time. Animal testing has been proven ineffective because the test subjects they use (rats, cats, and dogs) differ physiologically, metabolically, anatomically, genetically and psychologically from humans. Rodents deposit fatty acids (or plaque) in the liver, while humans deposit fatty acids in the blood vessels. Rats have no gall bladder. Cats lack an enzyme that makes it impossible for them to metabolize many different chemicals that get injected into their system. The circulation system of dogs is different because they walk on four legs, while humans walk on two. The list goes on and on.
