Like, Dye it dark brown [Getting rid of the blonde bangs*tears*]
Then bleach it like a skunks tail.
Opinions?
Truthfully... regardless of peoples opinions, I'm getting it done anyhow.

But, I have a question, How hard is the bleach going to damage my hair? Mind you, They have to take it from a dark brown to a playboy-bunny platinum blonde... Will that leave my hair all... straw-like?
And, They'll have to bleach pretty close to my roots, and i was afraid of the brown coming through and having to re-bleach every few weeks... And the up-keep worries me a bit.

The only thing i'm worried about is the bleaching, I'm getting it done professionally, so that's not a giant issue.

Anyone know if the bleaching will do a number on my hair? possibly ruin it?

Oh, And I've been trying to find PURPLE eye contacts, but I seriously can't find them ANYWHERE,
Anyone have any good stores, or websites I can buy them at?
And, I have dark brown [sometimes black] eyes, will the purple still show up?
Oh, and they dont have to be prescribtion, just normal.

As long as you take really good care of your hair bleaching it once shouldn't damage it that much. I know people who've bleached their hair hundreds of times and you can't see any evidence of damage.

As for the contacts, I have no idea.

it depends on how much red is in your hair. when i bleached mine i had to do it like 5 times to get all the orange out.

any hairdo worth having needs to be maintained.
the bleack shouldnt be too bad.
if i were u id dye everything brown except wut u want to bleach, like, pull that section up or something then bleach it.
or if u have to dye ur whole headbrown, wait for another day to do the bleach.

and if u have blonde bangs, id keep them

i think it'd look cute
;D

That's the thing, I've been bleaching it for like 2 years, Just my bangs though,
I'm just worried about my damn roots getting damaged and such... That worries me.

It's not red? My bangs have a slightly blue tint at the moment, but There's no red in my hair at all... Or am i missing something?

Nahh, My bangs would be chopped off more than likely... Unless i kept them, and dyed JUST them my funky colors... Purple, maybe. ;]
Wait... That'd look kinda dumb...

As for the contacts, All I can find are ones with yellow in them... And they look kinda cool, but i'd rather they just be purple... I'll get them as a last resort, i guess.

when she says the red in ur hair, she doesnt mean a dyed color. she means the natural red hue in ur hair, that u really cant tell its there until u do a part of ur hair blonde. if uve been bleachin ur bangs and they turned out more white than orange, u dont have much red, so ull be fine.

well if you really don't have any red tones in your hair, it should go blond in just a few bleachings.

Just make sure you condition your hair really well before you get it done, like deep condition it a few times.

What colour is your hair now? If it's already light, it would be easier to bleach it from that light colour and then dye in the stripes. Easier on the hair too.

btw I think you mean raccoon tail, not skunk tail.

It will leave it straw like however if you continue with a protien treatment and a good leave in conditioner you wont really notice it. If you are using pantene pro V, sunsilk, any cheap brands that make your hair unusually shiny/silky stop using that you have silicone build up and the bleach will react bad with it.

If you dont want to look like a dero then your going to need to do it every 6 weeks. Youll also need to buy a silver or purple shampoo. Delorenzo have a great one which will fight off brassy tones.

It can ruin it very easily. if your going to get it done go to an expensive reputable salon like Toni & Guy or Jonathon or something like that. If you have red tones and you go to an every day salon they will let you walk out looking bad. A reputable salon which you pay for means your going to walk out looking decent. There is that garuntee if they fry your hair and didnt warn you you can get extensions put in etc.

There has been recent studies that show contacts which are not prescription can cause blindness. The question you need to ask yourself would you rather be blind and have purple eyes or brown eyes and be able to see? .

Go around to a few reputable salons (consultations are always free) be honest with how much you have or havent dyed also the products you use. See the head stylist and see what they say. They may recommend going onto expensive products for 8 weeks before you do it to strengthen your hair and clean it all out.

Also be prepared for the high maintenence. Youll need to buy protien treatments, silver shampoos, expensive shampoos to get it done and need retouching every 6 - 8 weeks..
