when i straighten my hair a bad smell is left.
I dont know whether its the heat protecting spray i use causing this or just my hair burning!
i use remington wet2straight, but i usually just let my hair dry before i use them.
ive been thinking that mabye its the heat protecting spray steaming out of the holes on my straighteners but i dunno.
anyone else have the same problem with wet2straight? i have never had this problem b4 when i used GHD's.
HELP!

I think it might be the chemicals being burned.

you see steam come out of the holes on the wet2straight because it's evaportaing any excess moistour in your hair.
hint the whole wet2straight concept.
it's suppose to do that.
and straightening your hair while it was hairspray in it, can damage your hair ALOT

My hair smells all the time just from straghtening it. You're using a hot product tool on your hair, it's obviously not going to smell the greatest. Try and find a light misting spray to spray over it when you're done to make it smell nicer.
Also straightening your hair when it's wet probably isn't the best idea.
Use a heat protectant spray before you straighten your hair so you don't fry it !

wet hair + straightening iron [those things are hot, just so you know] = bad.

If you have any chemical in your hair when you straighten it, it will smell from the heat.
You are probably smelling the heat protecting spray being burned by the hot straightner.
It's nothing to worry about really.

Could also be that your hair is burning cuz you're on too high of a setting?
I use a wet2straight also, but only when my hair is dry, on level 9.

i stil stand by my answer..... straightening wet hair is a bad idea.. even if the irons are designed to do that!

Yeah my hair smells weird too after I straighten it.
It just smells burnt, but I don't care as long as it's straight.

Wet to straight doesn't literally mean straighten your hair right after you wash it, it just means to straighten it while you have excess moisture in your hair. Trying letting your hair air dry for an hour first, then straightening it.
