I always try to scrunch my hair but it always looks like crap after like a half an hour. I use the fructis fiber gel, like putty stuff right after i get out of the shower, I've tried a few different ways of doing it but it never works out too well. It's not like my hair is that straight, and I've seen girls with pin straight hair scrunch their hair and it comes out really nice. anyyyway,

I was just wondering what you think is the best stuff to use, and best way to do it:)

i have really straight hair. i scrunch my hair when i'm running late because it's a LOT easier and a lot better for your hair than blowdrying / straightening. this is what i do when i scrunch it :

*get out of the shower, towel dry my hair. DO NOT BRUSH.
*use a LITTLE bit of gel, flip my head over, and scunch my hair with the gel. i just use really cheap suave. it smells good and it has a good hold. sometimes i use "sebastian" (expensive stuff), but i actually like suave's gel better.
*put it up into a bun ontop of my head, spray a little hairspray on the bun
*do my makeup...let it stay in the bun while you're doing your makeup / getting dressed
*take the bun out...it should be a little curly already.
*use mousse, scrunch hair some more. personally, i used "fresh curls" from redken, but any mousse should be okay
*keep scrunching, do it for a while.
*by now, it should be very curly. take a hairspray and spray all over. don't touch it after you hairspray, or it will make it really frizzy. a lot of times, i put the blowdryer on cold and the lightest speed, and point downwards on my hair because i don't like the frizzy look. a diffuser is good for that.

it sounds likea lot, but it takes a lot less time then blowdrying and straightening for me. i have long hair.

Well is advise brushing your hair after showering, and use a mouse on it, any kind, and get some scrunching jelly it helps to relax the hair without it going crispy and hard.

um when i had hair
i used a light pomade on damp hair
i then twisted it around a finger and blow dryed it some
then i used a sea salt wave enhancing spray
a light mist of aerasol hairspray
and then blowdryed it with the dryer on cold

i use garnier fructis (sp) its a spray gel. medium hold. i squirt a dime size amount in my hand and i flip my head over and scrunch it. dont run it through your hair it could get crispy in some places.

no. not just 30 minutes after you "scrunch" it. scrunching always looks like crap.

and "scrunch" it .
i dont put any products in it
and it gives more natural curls.

I use bumble and bumble curl cream. It makes perfect curls with out that trashy crunchy look.
