I'm not home right now but I'm so tired of my avatar. Anyway, this computer uses windows XP and it won't save anything else other than .bmp. It's so annoying. I tried uploading an avatar as a .bmp file but yeah, I figured it wouldn't work and it wouldn't.

Is there a way to change the options so it can saved as a .jpg or .gif?

simply open the pic in paint. Then hit "save as" and save it as a jpeg.

Oi, thanks Justin. I actually starting looking around for avatars on google and I found this one. It will let me save as .gif and .jpg on selected pictures. Anyway, I shall keep that in mind for next time. :)

The right way to fix this problem...

Go to Tools > Internet Options > Clear Temporary Internet Files

Then exit all browser windows and try again.
