People of the forums, have you got a movie character who inspires you.
Made an impact on your life? Changed your attitude or P.O.V?
DISCUSS. Give reasons, don't just say Yay or Neigh.
My Character:
Tyler Durden.
He taught me that you need to lose everything before you can find yourself. True words indeed, been mulling over that since I first fully understood the movie. EXISTENTIALISM! WOO!

Every character in "Tears of the sun" omg that movie tore me apart and made me realize how lucky we all are and how some people are so strong to get through that.

Yury Zhivago (Hans Matheson) in Doctor Zhivago (2002)
He made me analyze my life and experiences against his-- he made me cry like I've never cried during a movie ever before. I even cried after the movie was OVER. His character was so poetic and soulful and loving and caring-- perfect would be a good word, and when such tragic things happen to such a wonderful person, it makes you just a little overly-emotional. ^_^
Dammit, when I saw the thread name I thought Tyler Durden. Damn, you must be smart.
Tyler also said the things you own end up owning you.
"You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your fucking khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world."

Edward Scissorhands. He did nothing wrong, yet the outsider turns to outcast...suspicion to hostility...and he is exiled.
I can relate fully.

Lester Burnham: lived life to the fullest and didn't care what others thought.

me I would have to run with the ring wraiths. I like the way that they dress. they showed me that is ok to be evil. another would have to be Evangelion Unit 01 not everyone should break free of their bindings, sometimes you don't want to release the beast within.
