Don't laugh.
I think I might wear too much make-up. But the thing is I don't know how to lessen the amount I wear and feel like I look good. Like if I take away the blush I feel like my face won't have any color. If I take away shimmer I feel plain. If I take away eyeliner I feel like my eyes look naked.
It's not like I have bad skin or anything, and I look fine without make-up...but I feel so blah without it.
I don't want people to think of me as the girl who piles on make-up though, so any advice on how I can put it on and not look like I'm wearing a lot? Do guys even notice if you wear make-up?

1.Step one gain confidence
2. Step two, realize guys will probably sitll do you even with out your make up
3. Step three, once you gain confidence go out without any make up. You'll probably still get dudes.

You could curl your eyelashes and use the invisible mascara.
Use a lightly tinted moisturizer.
Buy a lighter colored eyeliner, or don't go as thick, all around the eyes like some do.
Be yourself, be natural.

Skip the mascara- but keep the eyeliner.
Use natural colors for eyeshadow.
Skip the foundation and cover up, unless you need it.

Do your friends say you wear too much make up?

Thanks for the tips guys.
I always just use a sheer shimmer on my eyes so I'm not using unnatural colors.
And my friends have never told me I wear too much make-up...but sometimes I can just feel them thinking it. My mom and sister say I do, though.

Meh...
Some of my friends wear loads of make-up but they get away with it 'cos it looks natural...
Its when it starts looking orange or you can't leave the house without smoky eyes that's a problem...
I have a few friends like that...

No I can go without. When I went to Hawaii last summer I never wore make-up.
I even go to school without any somedays when I'm in a rush. But I always ended up putting it on during lunch or between classes.
Blah I don't know, I just don't like feeling ugly.

is your sister older than you?
if you're older sister says you wear too much, i'd tone it down some.
you could just put on less?

Learn to love your natural self and you wont have these problems.

alright. i think you should slowly come off of it.
its kinda like an addiction. something that you need
or else you just feel terrible.
so say you put on blush, eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow, lipstick, etc.
start by taking one thing away. like eye shadow. go for awhile without it
until you feel comfortable without it. then take another thing away.
it will help you feel pretty, even when you don't have a ton of makeup on.

Yeah, that was helpful.
OP: You can try out brown eyeliner.

That's actually a really good idea. Thanks. :)

My sister's 15 and I'm 17, so she's younger.

Instead of black eyeliner, use brown eyeliner.
It won't be as dark looking as the black is. Plus, with your skin color, it won't look as harsh.
Instead of using a foundation and powder, just use one.
The powder would be the best for hot summer days.
Still use the shimmer on your eyes, but don't use as much.
Instead of maybe 2 coats of it, only use one coat.
When doing your lips, only use lipgloss.
Skip the lipstick and lipliner.
If you have to use blush (which I do or I think I have no color), use a more natureal color.
Also try to stay away from the sparkly kind, since you use shimmer on your eyes.

My opinion...keep using all the makeup you want! Lol I am the type who wears a lot of makeup too and you know what, I looooooove putting it on. I view makeup as an art and if you like it why not do it to the max. seriously though, if you feel good about your self when you wear it all, then friggin wear it all. But you did get some good advice here so I'm sure you'll have no problem taking it down a notch if ya need to ;)
