I think they're cute, but it really depends on the outfit.
People instantly associate skinny jeans with emo style which is bizarre for me at least.
I mean, they have been arround forever! plus they remind me of the 50's which is nice.

Also, they only look right in skinny people because they create curves so it looks pretty stupid when chubby people try wearing them.

As with basically every item of clothing, except obviously feminine stuff on guys. (I don't care if you're gay, you can still like other men, but doesn't your boyfriend as well? So frickin act like one!)

I love skinny jeans! Not for emo purposes obviously, but with heels or flip flops/sandals they look really nice, on the right shaped person! I'm naturally slim so I guess I can pull them off. You just need a really good quality pair that go past your ankle, too short skinny jeans look awful.

Never liked them on guys, if they aren't skinny it gives rise to 'sausage legs' and shoes with them just look awful too.
