Hey :]
Ok i'm thinking about getting my tongue pierced..
But the thing is im a singer
I know it will be swolen for a while and stuff
But after its completely healed is there a chance it could affect my speech or voice?
Any help appreciated

It could, but it shouldn't affect it too much. At first it's going to be pretty noticeable but once it heals and you're used to it you should be fine to sing. If its worries you that much you should probably hold off.

Mine was fine.
Well it swelled up alot for about two weeks so I couldn't get the bar changed to a shorter one.
Which was a bit of a pain.
But I got used to it after two days and my speech pretty much went back to normal.
Then was completely fine after I had the smaller bar put in.
If it did affect your speech then you could always take it out.
It just would have been a bit of a waste.

It can cause slight speech problems, which would obviously affect your singing.
Doesn't happen to everyone though.
I know that when I speak now my tongue moves differently to the way it used to haha..kinda hard to explain, but it just feels different.

Yes...
Sometimes when I'm singing my diction isn't quite right because of my piercing...

I've not had mine pierced but alot of people I know with it done had a slight lisp for a couple of days, just get it done at a time when you wont be singing in the next few days

No, You should be fine, And if there's that drastic of a difference, just take it out...
The only thing I've noticed when people I know have it, They speak with a bit of a lissssp.
It's kinda annoying, but... whatever, it's their mouth.
