I agree ...this film comes after the comics and the animated tv series, I am glad they honored the stylistic qualities of the original Speed Racer image. When I tried to find more information out about the design elements I found out about this texting contest (http://www.raceforspeedracer.com/) for a trip to the premiere and one of the actual Speed Race corvettes.
