Anyone know smooth nice foundation that blends with your natural colour, that doesnt make you look plastic. Preferably a ivy/peachy kind of colour?

unless you have horrible acne and feel the need to cover up your entire face, you don't need to use foundation. just use concealer

Foundation makes us girls feel better about ourselves, especially if we get a scratch from running into a wall or something. :P

if foundation is something that makes you feel better about yourself, you have major self-esteem issues. you should be comfortable with the way you look.
i'm sorry to inform you that we're not all dumb enough as to run into walls on a daily basis. watch where you're going!

Foundation is meant to even out your skin tone, I don't see why you would condemn the use of it? You shouldn't be able to easily tell someone has foundation on, it's just meant to give overall coverage to make the face look well blended.
And what teenaged girl doesn't have some sort of acne breakouts?
I personally like L'Oreal Tru Match foundation, there's a ridiculous amount of shades to choose from and the coverage is medium, making it good for evening out discoloration from pimples and dark circles under the eyes. But not cakey!

i'm not meaning to condemn it, but really, i went to a makeup counter when i was fifteen, and i was having some trouble covering up spots here and there. the lady there said that foundation is mostly used in women who need very full coverage, and that younger people shouldn't concern themselves with it, as it usually contains more oils and would cause more breakouts to adolescent skin.
concealer will cover up under eye circles and spots, without having to put it everywhere, and a lot of them contain salacylic acid to control breakouts.

If you want a more natural look, why don't you look into the tons of mineral foundations out there?

Well, I mainly said mineral foundations because it seems she wants a pretty light coverage and a natural look. That's what mineral foundations are for, right? Something like Bare Escentuals...

well, Bare Escentuals may be good for some, but it's really expensive and not all of us have the money for it :slash:
she could just as easily get mineral powder from L'oreal or Maybelline. but it may not be the same quality, i haven't tried it.

I went to a clinique counter recently, and bought a foundation to even out my skin tone. It works great.

Actually, I only said that brand because they were the first brand to actually bring that kind of product out into the market.

You could just try a tinted moisturizer.
I wouldn't use the mousse ones, everyone I've seen it on it's given a fake powdery finish, eugh.

L'oreal and Maybelline wouldn't really be the brand to go to if you're looking for mineral powder, because they put chemicals in their products. I agree with lil_latina88, bare escentuals would probably be the best if she's looking for a natural look. Liquid foundation always looks too done and doesn't go on smoothly, no matter what brand you try.
