alright so I went to a professional to get my hair done for my birthday, I asked for a medium to dark brown hair color but it ended up being BLACK.

i do NOT like it that dark and was wondering if i should get some brown streaks put in it or if i should just get it died again.

i'd say you should probably strip it and then try coloring it again.

you can't really color over black...but i guess you can try if you want to.

that's a common mistake with blonde hair. a lot of people don't realize that it doesnt take a dark dye to achieve a much darker color than anticipated. i'd say get highlights of a lighter brown all over.

If you wait until you wash is a few times it should lighten up...
If it doesn't then I'd do highlights.

^ That, although it should be said that there are a select few colours that can be put over black without stripping the colour (but they don't last long).

I dye my hair SO MUCH, no joke. And if you just wait it out it'll fade. Don't worry, you aren't used to it.
Once you get used to it you'll probably like it, i not: it's just hair, you can dye it again.

some hair absorbs more colour than others, when i put brown colour on my hair it goes really dark, even if its light brown. Once you have washed iot a few times it will fade.
