Right now my hair's somewhere between wavy and curly, by which I mean that if it were uncombed, it would take on a curly appearance, but if it were combed, it would look wavy. Are there any products I can buy to make it straighter?

John Frieda's Straightening Serum and a Remmington Wet2Straight straightening iron should do it!

Also...Alterna Hemp Seed Straightening cream...

doesn't that kill your hair? it totally fried mine a couple years ago and i only straightened it when it was dry

anyways, i personally would reccomend a ceramic straightener. you can get goods ones for roughly $60. i've never used a hair product that made my hair straight on its own, ever.

Why products? Just get a decent pair of straightners! Make sure you use protective serum though!

That's what I was thinking. I bought it as a present for my sisters birthday like two years ago, and she said it ripped her hair out like no other.

I reccommend using a ceramic straightener and some kind of thermal protectant spray, preferrably one that will aid you in the straightening process. I use Matrix Sleek Look spray.

Not if it's used correctly... it has different heat settings for dry, damp, and wet hair, with special steam vents to release excess water instead of having it drip out. It has ceramic plates... and I've never dried out or burnt my hair using it.

You need to use a heat protective serum/spray with ANY straightening iron, especially if you have thin or brittle hair.

i had a 2003 edition of that straightener so if your's is more recent then
and i'm aware of using a protectant haha, the remington still sucked for me.

Ahh, that could be why... I just bought this one a couple months ago... it's a 2007 model... by far the best straightener I've ever had! I had a conair ceramic before that... it didn't get rid of frizz, and constantly gave me fly-aways... I'm glad it broke, haha.

Whenever I'm not satisfied with the curls in my hair, and still want curls I take my straightener and straighten my hair, and then curl my hair with it.

I really like the curls straighteners give you. They're nice and loose, and look gooood. I have a Chi. straightener, but I'm assuming that all of the thinner straighteners will do the job.

Buy I think it's herbal essence dangerously straight, and use one of those circle brushes.
Why don't you just get a straightener though, it is a hella lot easier.

Ruck's "str8" hair product.
helps relax and adds shine, while making it more straight!

Chi Striaghtner - really expensive, but worth it

I have CURLY CURLY CURLY hair and it straightened it better than any other I had tried.
But I like curly/wavy hair better anyway. Straight is SO manufactured these days

Whatever you do use heat defense or it'll fuck up at the first draft of wind/rain.
