The Oceans movies were just an excuse for a bunch of Hollywood brats to get together and bask in their own supposed magnificence. Ugh. I couldn't sit through a movie with that much ego on the screen.

:shrug: what ego? what was cool about it was how self depricating it was, the films were fun without being lude or stupid, complex without being overbearing, stylish without being violent, yes, there's a fuck of alot of stars in the flick, and Clooney and Pitt have a shitload of swagger going on, but that's the charm of them, it's arrogant, but it's knowing arrogance. Mark Bell over at Film Threat put it best:

I don't know when it happened, maybe sometime in the late 1990's, but I got the vibe that movies weren't being made to be fun anymore. I saw A Beautiful Mind. It was a great film unto itself, I thought. But it really didn't do Nash justice.
