I tried this, not many poeple like horror on teenspot it seems but hopefully this thread will do well, um my top horrors wouldbe: All halloween films, All nightmare on elm street, Scream trilogy, the descent, the hole, the blair witch project, saw (allthough those films are gross) and the final destinations are ok.
I dont get scared but I get amde jump easily, and it takes a lot to gross me out but the film the black christmas was sick.
The killer from halloween was best, I love horror its just so unbelievable yet still terrifys people, well unless its based on real life obviously, oooh the texas chainsaw massacre was quite a good horror, I dont know which version I saw but it was good

Tell us about your favorite horror films
halloween [ 1978 ], psycho, pet sematary, motel hell, village of the damned, children of the corn, the mummy [ 1932 ], nosferatu and the shining
Tell us about some horrible horror films
the ring, i know what you did last summer, house of wax [ 2005 ], rob zombies halloween remake, anaconda, the texas chainsaw massacare [ 2003 ], ginger snaps, thirteen ghosts, darkness falls, seed of chucky [ if you'd even concider that a horror film ;/ ] , hostel, urban legends: bloody mary, the haunting, anything past the first leprechaun, wishmaster, etcetc
Tell us about a film that scares you half to death
halloween and pet sematary are the only two i can really think of. i can't even bring myself up to watch them alone, also, certain parts of the sadist
Easily frightened or not so much?
yes, but, it's more of my imagination than the actual film, yknow. like, usually while watching a horror film i'll picture the killer/monster around me and think about what it would be like if i were in the situation which is when i become paranoid and start looking around corners and behind me and such. lame, i know ;/
There's already a thread for best horror scenes, how about one for the scariest?
the brood - when nola autogenetically gives birth to homicidal strange, mutated children to physically express her internal rage - and licks her own monstrous bloody fetus; and another scene of the 'brood' after devouring a victim
children of the corn - the scene of a boy stumbling out onto the highway clutching his sliced throat
i walked with a zombie - the night time scene of betsys walk through sugar cane fields to a local voodoo ceremony - and the abrupt appearance in the darkness of huge zombie guard carrefour
halloween - the background music is enough to freak me out ;s uh, when michael sits straight up (in the background) after being stabbed in the eye with a coat hanger; also the early scene of michaels escape from the sanitarium after attacking a nurse. when bob opens the closet door, michael appears (and stares at bob quizzically for a moment as he tilts his head), holds him high against the wall and impales him with a large butcher knife
a nightmare on elm street - tina being dragged up the wall and across the ceiling by an invisible freddy krueger and in the 3rd one, the "puppet-marionette" death scene in which freddy manipulates a sleep-walking boy like a marionette using the ripped out veins from his hands and legs as the control chords
pet sematary - when gage murders his mother with a surgical scalpel
the texas chainsaw massacre [ 1974 ] - the scenes of hanging and screaming pam on a meat hook through her upper back, and sally being held captive at the dinner table ( and having her finger cut as an appetizer for grandfather)
What makes a good horror film in your opinion
a good catch phrase - yknow, like 'they're here' from the poltergeist or 'i see dead people' from the sixth sense, etc, creepy music - the music that supports a horror film is usually way scarier than the actual movie, evil entity - every horror film needs a good versus evil storyline and nothing too gore filled
Which decade do you believe has the best horror films thus far
im going with the 60s - the early 90s

What is this, bad post good post?
Tell us about your favorite horror films
Pretty much everything Wes Craven did in the 80s, nosferatu, An American Werewolf in London, Night Of The Living Dead (1968), Peeping Tom (on a technicality, it's more amazing than a 'horror film', per se, but there is murder and screaming women so I like to mention that Peeping Tom is an amazing film, everybody should watch Peeping Tom)
(It's a Michael Powell film)
Tell us about some horrible horror films
Euch, don't get me started. Hannibal, Hannibal Rising, Freddy vs Jason, Alien vs Predator, Alien resurrection, A nightmare on elm street 4, Halloween 3, most of the Friday the 13th's (psh), The Descent, The Cave, The Hole (if it counts as a horror, someone else mentioned it in the positive but I had to say it was awful), Blair Witch Project, An American Werewolf in Paris, Silent Hill, the remake of Psycho + most other remakes, the prequel sequel to the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, etc etc.
Tell us about a film that scares you half to death
Nosferatu (only if you get it with the right score, though)
Easily frightened or not so much?
I'm nervous, but never scared. I just jump when the stupid things happen (they usually involve a loud burst of score)
There's already a thread for best horror scenes, how about one for the scariest?
Just one. The scene in An American Werewolf in London where David transforms into the werewolf. It's something to do with the screaming and the special effects, which were much too much when I was 6 and has been ever since.
Which decade do you believe has the best horror films thus far
Does not compute. Gems in every decade.

favorite ever=Scream (1996) the movie gets you scared without music, which most horror movie must have, 2nd halloween (1978) nightmare on elm street (1984) texas chainsaw massacre (1974)&Tex Massacre (2003)-as good as the original just scarier & gorier
