i am thinking of getting this on my arm as a tattoo..

I wouldn't personally choose that...but it is a cool design and if you like it I'd say go for it.

I hate it a little bit. Chinese characters are so overdone. And those ones your picked aren't particularly aesthetically pleasing either. Everyone and their grandmother has chinese characters tattooed on them. I'd say go for something a little less cliche.

Lame and overrated. Its worse than a butterfly.

I like the idea but look for a more calligraphy style version of the symbols. It will look more aesthetically pleasing

is there any particular reason that you want a kanji symbole other than you like the way it looks?

that sounds kind of reduculess to me. kanji symboles are so over-done and cliche, these tatoos are a dime a doze; get something that is meaning for you, not some random symboles that no one understands.

if those words are meaningful to you, why not have them done in english?

A lot of people have that kinda design, you know, the whole CHINESE themed tat.
I'd go with something a little more original.

i think you should try and keep it small.

i disagree with bellisimaxo, i think if the threadstarter is going to get this, it should be fairly sizable. tattoos blur a bit as they age, small tattoos with great detail--like kanji symbols--become smudged looking and illegible.

Are you SURE thats what it says?

I dont think I'd get any tattoo I couldnt read...Or I'd at least have someone I could really trust to translate

Only people who are asian should be able to get asian character tattoos. Unless somehow they are still really meaningful to you without being asian.
