the clothes are pretty similiar, just a ton of jeans and t-shirts with their logos plastered all over, but hollister seems to have the more "faux surf" style about it. oh, and the store is darker than the fucking amazon. it's covered in like...tropical trees as well.
abercrombie is more inspired by the likes of Polo and Lacoste. it's like, commerical preppy
all in all they're both kind of ridiculous and they spray way too much colonge/perfume on their clothing.

if they''re the same, then why do they have two different stores? why didnt they just combine them?

hollister is supposed to be like california surf style stuff....
abercrombie is more like east coast preppy clothes....
but a lot of their stuff is the exact same...I got a hoodie from hollister and saw the exact same one at abercrombie, the only difference was the logo on it.

^Yup, couldn't have said it better. But A&F isn't "preppy" per say, at least in the traditional sense.

for the same reason that Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy are different stores, but owned by the same people
except those ^^ have more distinct differences between the stores
but idc, cuz i hate the aberzombies, they're only good eye candy :D

I was just curious. I noticed a lot of similar things between the two and I just wasn't sure...

Theres this new store that Abercrombie & Fitch just made called Ruehl, its pretty similar but its age target is people in their 20s cause some shirts might have a martini glass on it...they also make leather hand bags too, its pretty similar to Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister.

I don't care much about them though because I never shop at those places.I've seen too much similarities when people I know where them all the time.

obviously because people have had other questions besides the one in the first post.
