I've noticed that if I wash my hair, blow dry it, then straighten it, it looks like crap and frizzes out. But if I wash it at night, then let it air dry and straighten it in the morning it looks good and it's soft and silky. Anyone have any idea why this is? I'm just curious.

Mine does the exact same thing. All of that heat at once makes it frizz and it fries it. Drying naturally is always healthier for your hair and it will make it look soft and silky.

if i go to bed with my hair wet, there aint no way it'll straighten properly, my hair decides to branch off with loads of random quiffs.

Just don't go to bed with your hair wet or you will have a lot of difficulty straightening it like Statsie said.

If you blow dry your hair then straighten it it frizzes because you've subjected the hair to heat which is damaging then added more heat.

Even heat protection spray can not truly protect your hair from all the damage done by heat.

I shower at night, let it air dry, and then straighten it before bed. There's no possible way to blow dry and straighten my hair and make it look good.

air drying your hair is better for the hair so that you don't have a lot of damage. and a good heat protectant that has vitamin e and silicone is good because they both secure the moisture in your hair.

i think its cuz you probably dont get your hair 100% dry when you blow it, so your straightner doesnt get its full effects/ it boils your hair.
