I'm thinking about submitted one of my poems for a school writing book we distribute yearly.

Which one do you believe I should submit?

Elegance and poise raised so highly upon,
One day all you have will be gone.
Those highly intelligent, complex ways,
Are only a sign of your passing days.

"Times at which I felt abandoned, lonely,
feelings of complexity spill from me.
Breaths that i take with intentional care,
yet knowing they're filled with despair.
Questions ponder with intensity,
why the lies, and no honesty?"

The time on the clock slowly unravels,
beckoning the end of all our travels,
In this life when nothing is for sure,
Death is described as the modern cure

Traveling life, There's a fork in the road,
I take one wrong turn, and plummet below.
Confined and trapped deep down inside,
I'm her to apologize that I ever lied.
Trust; easy to lose, hard to gain,
And guaranteed to always cause pain.

truth be told, and always remembered,
trace back your roots, back to the contender.
assure yourself, repeat and repeat,
search for stability, something concrete
vivacity may appear completely eluded,
Nothing for sure, nothing concluded.
drifting by in a monotone voice,
decide what's next, your ultimate choice

Trapped in my own vitality,
Wondering what happened to hospitality,
Seclusive events in my mind replay,
Covered by a forgotten blanket of gray.
Distorted by fragile reflections,
Hate seems to be my silent affection.
Desperate wounds unable to heal,
A paralyzed heart that I can't even feel.
Wondering of this common existence,
And why I can't stop my anxiety and persistence.
