Im in the market for a new one.
Got any reccomendations?
Ive been thinking the Remington wet2straight one; my friend has one and it works well except the teflon came off after a few months.
Im Aussie btw, so brands that are available here would help...
though all suggestions are great.
on a bit of a budget though.

do not get that straightner, it wrecked my hair heat protectant and all.
i reccomend anything ceramic (a corioliss pro, chi, or ghd are top of the list)

yeah the ones that are expensive are the only ones that work. except for the chi, that one sucks. fhi is so much better. use that one.

I agree with katie, don't get the wet2straight one
period. I bought it for my sis for her bday, and she said it
was nasty to her hair with breakage and such.

Best in Quality
1. Chi (most hairdressers here use them instead of GHD's) $300
2. GHD $300
3. Cortec $230 (Hairhouse Warehouse)
If you are looking for something a little cheaper get maybe a Silver Bullet (hairhouse warehouse) $150ish, or Remington have a tourmaline straightener in price line for around $60.
Its probably best to get one with tourmaline.

Do not get the Remington wet to straight, it's awful. I bought it and I hate it.

Just thinking... it is probably better to invest in a good hair dryer, and buy a really good rounded brush.

Three words: buy CHI straightener.
It's a very amazing, highly satisfying product. People I know who are beautician school students and graduates have mentioned it several times and I've heard many positive things about it. The only problem is that they can be expensive but if you want an extraordinary straightener I recommend CHI brand.
One site that has CHI straighteners have it cheaper than what was previously mentioned by joaquin. Check this site out: http://www.folica.com/Chi_Flat_I_317_1.html

I have the remmington wet2straight and mine works amazing. Hasn't ripped or damaged my hair.
EDIT: It'll depend on how often you straighten your hair. If you're going to do it everyday, then obviously don't get something like the wet2straight.

I agree with the CHI straightener idea. My older sister has that and I use it all the time!

Do not get wet to straight anything, they wreck your hair and don't even work. Get GHD's, they're amazing.
