Does anyone go to tanning booths? I'm wondering because I just got a month membership and it makes me all itchy and shit. I don't like it,

I went once and had a bad experience with the eye protectors, so I never went back.

Oh god no. I'm pretty pale, but it's better than what I'd look like all tanned. Fake tans + me = fail.

ok, why bother? it obviously makes you uncomfortable and is very likely to cause skin cancer in 10 years....all to be a little darker?! what's the point?
there's nothing wrong with having a fair complexion you know.
haha spray tan?
why?
i could ask you the same question...at least she isn't going to dramaticly increase her chances of skin cancer...*gasp* maybe that's why!

try putting on a different moisturizer before you tan. are you using a lay down or stand up? if your using a lay down i'd recommend switching to a stand up if they have one

It's fall not winter. Either way I'm sure you look fine it shouldn't matter to your b/f or prospective b/f.

I go tanning frequently, although I don't go as much as I used to. I kinda lay off in the winter... seeing as I live in the midwest, we don't have 80 degree weather year-round and it looks way too fake for a person to be un-naturally tan.
I've only felt itchy a few times and that was because the certain types of lotions I've used and tried didn't have enough moisturizer in it, so I just use a good aloe lotion and that usually gets rid of it. Also in most tanning salons, they sell a bunch of REALLY nice moisturizers you can buy. They may be a bit pricy, but if you're willing to spend some more money they really work great.

I'm scared of those things.
Plus I prefer elegant fair skin to overly orange leather.

I go alot...but I have never itched. Maybe it's the tanning lotion you use or you could be going in there for too long. Start off at like 6 minutes, thats what i did and now i'm up to 20

When I tan I use Swedish Beauty. Your problem could be your using a lotion with Hemp in it. (Weed) Its suppossed to be anti-aging. But if you new to the tanning beds thing it will cause skin Irritation. So try using a Swedish Beauty ''Perfectly Dark'' It has a collegen Booster in it and tans great for all skin types!

I go tanning...The only time it makes me itch is if I get burned a little bit....like not enough to hurt very bad...but it just itches.
Maybe you should go a little less time and see if that helps...Idk...

I went to a tanning salon the other day to see how much they charged for 3 sessions, which is all I would need to be tan. (I tan very easily). I've been avoiding the sun for a good 6 months and I'm completely pale right now without tan lines, and I've been liking the fair look but I wanted to get a little color in.
It was like a cult in there, they refused to give me the prices for just 3 sessions and kept telling me they offered monthly memberships or annual memberships only, etc etc. I just left. I can be pale and tan when I go back to Miami.
By tan I mean lay in the sun for 30 minutes and walk on the beach for an hour, then hide from the sun the rest of the day by the way. I get dark easily and I just hate the sun.
If you're itchy, you could be allergic to UVa rays...or it could be your lotion.

Yeah I can tanning every now and then... the first time I got itchy for a little bit because I stayed in too long. If your skin is really sensitive, stay in 5-8 minutes your first couple times, then gradually up the time. Just remember there IS a risk for skin cancer. I wear sunscreen in the beds and still get a great tan!
