What is the differences between pretty and beautiful?

i think pretty is just looks, but beautiful is like all around judgement like your personality, looks, and sense of life. thats just what i think tho lol

pretty can be obtained with the right clothes and makeup
beautiful is when you have the right facial/body structure and can still look beautiful at 3am

A lot of people don't really become beautiful til they're a little older. Some people grow into their features or just change.

I also define pretty and beauty with a sort of kitten vs. cougar translation. Like...Reese Witherspoon vs. Selma. And like the one girl said, pretty can be obtained by makeup/hair/clothes, beauty is something more.

She looks tired, and her skin is too pale for her drastic dark hair color. And Tyra forehead is proportion to her forehead, and is far more prettier than Hilary.

I think pretty is the natural high attractiveness level of someone. Makeup has nothing to do with how pretty someone is. It's all a natural thing.

pretty is just when you first look at someone.
beautiful is everything, the way they hold themselves and act.
Im not sure i could say any of them were beautiful from those pictures because those pictures have probably been touched up and alot of make up and things.

pretty is just looks, beautiful is just a level [or two] higher from pretty.

plus, there is natural beautiful/pretty, which is when the person looks beautiful/pretty without makeup, and then there is normal beautiful/pretty, when the person just has amazing touch up artists and an talented makeup crew.

I just see it as a scale...
