Honestly, I think that That 70's Show ended a little too late. By the time they made a finale for it, most of the best parts of the humor were gone. It had started to become like the later Simpsons.

there was a "that 80's show"...i honestly don't remember how long ago fox tried that.\, if i had to guess i'd say 5 years. it bombed...big time! it was canceled after, like the second episode.

besides, that 70's show ended well. too often t.v. shows are dragged out far too long and they become crappy.

but i disagree about the second part of your post, i think it ended strongly.

I think the final episode was good, but the ones leading up to it lacked the charisma of the earlier ones. The final season did still have its funny moments, though.

If anything, that 70's show was one season TOO LONG. They should have tried and wrapped up the end of the 70's a season early as once Topher Grace & Ashton Kuther were no longer regulars, the show just lost its point. Eric & Kelso were two of the main cast and responsible for the majority of the humour in my opinion.

There's NO way the show could have kept it's quality without those two, while still being that same old that 70's show.

Gah....That 80's show wasnt around long enough to catch on!!!! They couldve made a different show called that and it would get more publicity then the original!!! And (to someone else that said this) they didnt become like the simpsons!
