I watched the Exorcist again last night and shit myself all over again. Why is it sooo scary?

The first time I saw it was in snatches through a gap in the door when I was a child and each scene that I caught was imprinted like a photograph in my memory.

I bought the new version with all the extra bits in on DVD 2 years ago but have only watched it twice since 'cos I can't watch it alone and it's hard to find people who will sit through it with me!

I still think it's a fantastic film but it still scares and disturbs me.

How do you feel about it?

ive only seen it once and didnt think it was scary. but it is good.

if i was watching it by myself i might be more scared....films seem to be scarier when your on you own :rolleyes:

ive seen it twice and it scared me both times lol, dont think i could watch it again, really creeps me out =[

The only thing that scared me was how the girl looked.

dull - nothing remotely chilling - trash. not to mention a complete fucking waste of my 132 minuets.

it never scared me anyways i dont think it was even good for its time
i mean its harsh and laughable but thats all

I saw it bout a year or two with some friends and we couldn't stop laughing all through it. Seriously we laughed so hard and then started doing the impressions of "MOTHER!":D

When it came out, it had people fleeing the theaters or getting sick. I don't blame them
