My friend was on meds because he had really bad acne..
that was April 2006.. and just got off them about a month ago
because he wasn't seeing a difference (I saw a major difference, but whatever he wants)
Im not exactly sure what he was on..
but then he was put on something else, and had to stop his other meds, and he has to get blood taken every week. They had to take him off those meds because his blood count was too low and he could die.
He doesnt want to go on the stuff he was on before
and hes using cream twice a day for the past year and a bit.
Hes totally not happy with himself and has like no self confidence
I was just wondering if anyone knows some meds, that actually work..
right now hes not allowed to eat anything with sugar or anything..
so pretty much anything would be better :)
helpppp.
name meds , that maybe worked for you?

Buggar.
I was about to suggest Dianette which worked amazing for me. But it's also the contraceptive pill and I just read that you're saying "he."

Well, I'm not sure what medicine he used before, but I use Clindoxyl gel (which is prescribed by a doctor). You use it every night before bed, so it's not too bad. It generally works pretty well, but I still get pimples here and there. But I don't have acne.
Umm, I don't know anyone that's tried it, so I wouldn't know personally, but I've heard good things about Proactiv?

Well, it's a shame your mate isn't a girl because they put you on the pill and that clears it right up.
Try changing his diet?

Try Sudacreme if you get it there, any acne threads i answer the exact same everytime.
Worked really well for me and i had it really bad.
You can probably get it from the supermarket or chemists.

maybe his acne is heriditary cuz i had that but they put me on this REALLY powerfull medicine called accutane and it cleared up in bout 4 months.
and if hes got nodular acne [the kind i had] then proactive and any atibiotics wont work. i used almost every kind and they would work for a while then they would stop workin. so yea if hes got the kinda acne i had then he needs accutane.

Use Proactive.
It works really well and is only $20 a month.
They also have cream for spot treatments.
If he does get Proactive, tell him it doesn't work right away.
It takes about 2 or 3 months to see results.
It works really well though. My friend had it super bad.
After 3 or 4 months of using Proactive you couldn't tell she had ever had acne.
She doesn't get acne anymore, other than a bump or two once or twice every month.
You can put the spot treatment on those and they are gone within 2 days.
