I'm pretty sure they are the same. I buy Seven For All Mankind and everyone calls them 7's. including me. I've never heard of any other kind of jeans called 7's...but if they are cheap then I guess it's cause I don't shop at cheap jean stores.

WRONG. Burn in fashion hell.
Here's the deal. 7 for All Mankind came first. They are relatively high-priced ($200 and up for a pair) brand. They also sell other clothes on their website. www.7forallmankind.com
Later, 7 Jeans came along. They were sued (obviously) by Seven for All Mankind for copyright infringement. The lawsuit was settled under confidential terms that will not be disclosed to the general public.
The logos for both are a "7" along with cursive writing that says "Seven Jeans" or "Seven for All Mankind", respectively.
7 Jeans are cheaper and sell for around $60-$80. They are being sold in Dillard's (for full price of course), JCPenny's, Kohl's, and other places that sell cheaper clothes to Juniors.
"Sevens" still refers to Seven for All Mankind. It does not refer to its eerily similar competitor, Seven Jeans.
(EDITORIAL: I actually own 2 pairs of the $80 Seven (NOT for All Mankind) jeans. I quite like them, actually. They're the sturdiest pair I have right now. :) )

Yep.
The only thing is, SFAM jeans aren't all $200+ some are only like $150. And Seven7 jeans start at like, $40.

Well, I couldn't remember the pricing on SFAM. And Seven7 jeans start @ $40? Well, I'm just going by the price on the tag, I know they're on sale a lot.
