for me, it's Nobuteru Taniguchi(N.O.B.!), b/c his style is so smooth.
idk...there's lots of others, but he stands out to me.
plus, he cracks me up on Best Motoring.

People who know who he is will most likely say him because they pretty much know him and only him but I know plenty and Keiichi Tsuchiya is my favorite. He and NOB are awesome, lol. Also, Keiichi helps produce Initial D and also they use him and his hachi roku for Takumi's engine sounds and even the squeal of the tires and believe it or not, the click of opening and closing the hood/hatch. I love how Initilal D and the Gran Turismo series use the real engine sounds from each and every car.

Oh, can't forget Keiichi's guest appearance in 1st Stage.

Yeah NOB stands for No One Better, but come on, Keiichi's known as the Drift King and even did the Drift Bible. No, Nob didn't do Drift Bible, Tsuchiya did!

lmao.
i own the drift bible, it's awesome.
and yeah, Tsuchiya is by far better.
i think Manabu(sp?) Orido also deserves a spot on the shortlist, just b/c of his hair. :D

I was only there for the actual events, not qualifying so I didn't get to see all of the cars, only the ones that made it, and then Rhys Millen also went out despite him not qualifying due to missing a turn. Alex Pfeiffer in his hachi roku went mad and was doing burnouts and donuts with only his right leg and at times both hands in the car. Sam Hubinette won the event in his Mopar Viper, in 2nd was someone in a MotoRex 350Z, then in 3rd was someone drom Drift Alliance in their cream hachi roku. I met Benson Hsu from http://sileightymania.com there and go to check out his Sileighty. It was a fun event. My dad and I are going to start going to a lot of Road Atlanta races.

it's a technique used in racing and has also become a show technique. so no it's not a sport of it's own

THATS A POWERSLIDE BUT ITS THE SAME FEELING.

IN FACT I'VE BEEN DRIFTING WITH JUSTIN IN HIS TRUCK WHEN HE GOES OFF ROADING.

NOW, I HAVE TO ADMIT DRIFTING IS EXCITING BUT I GET MUCH MORE ENJOYMENT GOING FAST AROUND A TRACK THAN I DO SLIDING AT 30-55MPH. I DO HAVE TO SAY THAT DRIFITING IS A SPORT AND IT TAKES ALOT CAR CONTROL SKILLS THAT MOST PEOPLE DON'T HAVE.

DRIFITING IS JUST NOT FOR ME.
