My LimeWire is connected, it has the blue bars at the bottom and the little globe with no firewall blocking it. However, when I try to download a song, it just never connects...
Does anyone know how I can fix this? I've tried restarting it and my computer many times.

Make sure that the file you are downloading has a high number next to it. The higher that number, the more users online that have the file, and thus, a faster download. It could be the problem.

If all else fails, use albumbase.com.

Not enough sources for the file you are trying to download?

Here's a novel idea. Go to a music store and buy the album. Don't use download sites. Even paid ones are compressed audio, therefore inferior quality to CDs.

I'd just reinstall the program.

Forward ports on your router or stick your computer in the Demilitarised Zone and disable your firewall so your ports aren't blocked. If neither of those work then its either time to reinstall or find a different song.

limewire uses a network, you have to connect to their network thats why it takes so long.
