i have a major question that needs answering before school shopping begins for me. Here's a little background: I don't like thin shirts that u have to layer 2 or more with, and i don't like clingy shirts. I like to dress casual. Very plain and simple: tee shirt; dark. Blue jeans or shorts or capris, never short shorts. I don't wear sleeveless shirts...ever. Most the time i just wear a black, grey, blue, or white shirt from hot topic. But they aren't feminine. seriously they're boy shirts. Is there any place that shirts are sold? (like just a plain tee shirt, but not thin, or clingy, or layered. also thats a bit more fitted and feminine than boys teeshirts. I'm not a fan of baby doll shirts, or the diagonal cut short sleeve. i know, i am super picky.) or are there any suggestions as to how to wear plain tee shirts in a more stylish way? Seriously i'm in a desperate need of help. Thanks for reading. and any siuggestions would be amazing. thanks again.

Wal mart, you have to go to the mens section and buy the fruit of loom shirts or the hanes shirts. 5 bucks.

thnks stephernie and looks like its vada..but unlike the normal hot topic wares i don't wear the skulls or the tinkerbell stuff. most of the time i try to find a band tee shirt or something just appropriate. i like funny shirts but all the fitted tees they have there are the thin ones. i can't find a good plain fitted cotton tee.

oh, you can also buy plain tshirts, and if you want to wear them in a more stylish way, theres ways to cut them and sew them, its really cool actually. buy a book or google.

Your welcome... is that what you were looking for?
& for your other question.. the only way I could think of wearing them more stylishly would be to wear the kind of shirts you described that you didn't like... lol. But if your brave, maybe you could try a boat neck or v-neck tee. Or layering, but you said you didn't like that either... um... a nice belt maybe?

u can alter then and have them fit better but i wut i mean by plain tee shirt is just nothing specially cut on them. i guess saying plain means looks...but wut i'm trying to say is i like having sayings and funny things and stuff but i just don't like the feel and layers of all the american eagle and stuff like that.

i guess by more stylishly i mean is it ok to wear just a more fitted tee shirt (for girls) to freshman year of highschool...cuz i know, a boyish tee isn't very cool. And just tees aren't overall the most stylish. But, with all the details and stuff i've added on here, is it ok to wear, and not look like a bum or a boy?

Well, Idk... why are you against layering? lol. Or would you wear any other kind of shirt besides a t-shirt. A polo maybe? Or a long tunic t-shirt? Or... um... a henley? Idk, t-shirts by themselves aren't very stylish. But of course, if you like them then just wear what you want.

thank u vada. and yes u have been a big help. I'm not against polos and layering is just...(i know it's much more stylish, and i agree it looks a helluva lot better than tee shirts.) but the fact of just buying two or 3 shirts at double the cost of a plain one layer tee for each (and this is just an estimate i know at like walmart u could by for cheaper or at another cheap store but the american eagle and stuff like that) it seems, well...unethical. but thats just me.

Oic, well if you ask me quality is better than quantity! lol. But if you're really worried about what is "ok" to wear, don't go crazy back to school shopping, just get something for the 1st day and then look around to see what other girls in your grade are wearing and then go shopping that night =]
Oh and one thing you can do is... get the cute shirts for the top layers from american eagle and wherever else you like and then get the under layer like a wife beater from walmart in like a pack you can get 3 for $10. & everyone will just see the AE one and just like two inches of the cheap one. Noone will know!
