I'm sure many of you are familiar with the novel The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. I remember reading it my freshman year, and I liked it enough, but it's not one of my favorites.

I've known for a few years that a film was in the works.. originally, Lynne Ramsay was directing and it was set to be released this year, but apparently she either backed out of the project or was fired...which is a shame because Lynne (in my opinion) is an excellent director.

Now, according to IMDb, Peter Jackson is the new director. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I don't know.. this story just kinda seems like a far cry from Jackson's other films.

What do you think?

Dakota Fanning's supposed to play in it, so that may or may not ruin it..

EDIT: I looked on IMDb, and I guess that's changed since the last time I looked at it. Nevermind.
