Im thinking about dying my hair either medium ash brown or light ash brown. All my friends say I should dye it light brown, but I dont want it too light. I wanted it more like her hair color:

My question is, if I dye my hair that day or the night before, can I go swimming in pools & the beach the same day or the next day? Im asking this because I know if you dye your hair blonde & swim in a pool, the chlorine from the pool will turn blonde hair a greenish color. But will it have any effect on brown dyed hair?


Oh and, is light ash brown like a dirty blonde in the sun? Because I want to stay away from blondes, reds, or black hair colors and stick with a shade of brown thats close to my current natural hair color. My hair right now is like two toned from the sun though. (If you see my profile picture, you'll see my hair color, then blonde//light brown streaks of where the sun attacked my hair.) I just want a solid color, not two toned.

(dont say white, I obviously know that.) Like, when I google stuff about dying my hair they say make sure it suits your skin tone, but what color is my skin tone? After I get done tanning, Im obviously tan, but when I dont tan, Im like.. ?

If your pale go for a lighter shade, if you go darker it will bring out paleness.

I live in Florida where the beaches are at, its kind of hard to not be tan here. lol

I would say go to a hairdresser, and discuss it with them. And they have those bits of hair that you can try on your head (sorry no other way of explaining it), and the quality of the dyes are just soo much better than store bought ones.

Darker hair will look shinier by the way.
