and because 9/10 out of ten their music sucks.
there are PLENTY of fantastic musicians out there who can act far better than many people we see in Hollywood today. Why do we even need these awful single-threat assholes?

They just come across as personas to me. Like in acting, star personas, etc. And to be honest? Musicians... what about performers? I just discovered recently, that to be an artist, you play for yourself, whereas performers, you play for other people. So, my point?
If you're a performer, you are putting yourself, a persona, on the line... to be shunned by society and the media, and to gain fame, and yet.... what, in reality, do you gain out of it? Nothing, except... your own identity taken away from you, you are lost in a world where celebrities can't do anything without the media being there, even your own "private" life would be intervened. God, how terrible that must be. To be honest, I'd rather stay a nobody. >.> Sorry, I guess I'm too pessimistic about this kind of thing. <.< Oh well.

I think the only actor that has ever been able to sing is Jlo, I like some of her music and she has a good voice but I strongly hate her.
