suck on ice. and if you got it pierced quite far back on your tongue, then you can leave the jewellery in, but if you got it towards the front remove the top ball so that only the 'rod' can be seen through the top, so if you talk, the risk of them seeing it is minimal.

claim you're on a small diet so you don't have to eat food that involves a lot of chewing.

also say you have an ulcer in your mouth that makes it hurt to talk or something like that, or just pretend to be really upset about something so you don't have to talk too much.

i've been able to hide my tongue piercing from my parents for almost two years now. score. =D

What I did was get a small sachet bag:
get 2 pink paracetemol tablets and got a compass and engraved an E in the tablet
- I think put the tablets in the bag and 'hid' the pills in my sock drawer
- My parents found this flipped and said I was on ecstasy - at this point a piercing is nothing. So go oh im so over this. Like my tongue piercing? they are so infuriated by you having e's in your room they dont care about the piercing
- Once theyve flipped out just go oh they werent actually e's they were for a school assignment - get them tested if you want.

and tad arrr. you get away with your new piercing.
