right i dont know if anyone will b able to help me but i hope so. ive had my hair cut like the pic below just its a bit shorter and i was wondering how to get it all puffed up like it is in the pic. ive got really thick hair to start with which is good ithink. can anyone give me any tips please?

go to the hairstylist who did and ask them if they'll show u.
it looks like they might have straighten ur hair and teased it in the back to give it that puff

volumising mouse when its wet, blow dry it with a big round brush, sraightne it then use Lee Stafford Messed Up Shaper, thats what my friend does.

You get a teasing comb section your hair tease it spray it and there you go.

thicker hair isnt always best as it'll be heavy and weigh your hair down
either way
backcombing, hairspray, volumising mouse etc.

i do that sometimes...all i do is blowdry it, straighten it, and use hairspray while like, just messing it up....idk wtf mousse is and all that shit, but you don't really need it.

tease ur hair..buy a teasing comb and hairspray........look on google if you don't know how to tease hair...me be lazy ass

tease the underlayer, you don't really need a teasing comb thats just a bonus, you can use a normal brush providing you do it right, then hairspray it.
mousse works better though.

Do what everyone else has mentioned, and then to make it a little more piecy use a sculpting wax.

As for the the flippyness.
Just take a round brush and flip certain layers out with the old blowdryer and round brush method.
