The biggest mistake people make is to tweeze too much. Avoid overplucking as it can take months for brows to grow back. Here's a simple trick to remember: The space between your brows should be equal to, or a little wider than, your eyes. To find where your brow should go, take a long eyeshadow brush or pencil and hold it parallel to the side of your nose. Where the brush meets your brow is where your brow should begin.
To find the end of your brow, extend the brush diagonally from your nostril, following the outside edge of your eye toward the brow. Where the inside edge of the brush hits is where your brow should end.
The best brows have a slight arch. To find yours, hold the brush parallel to the outside edge of the colored part of your eye (the iris). Where the brush meets the brow is where the highest part of your brow should be.
Cleanse your skin. Exfoliating with a gentle scrub (I like Biore) helps prep the area as well. Worried about pain? Expert aesthicians suggest applying to the brow Anbesol, Orajel or any teething gel for babies. Brush brows up and out.
You'll want to invest in a good pair of tweezers with a slanted edge (my favorite, hands down, are Tweezerman slanted tweezers

agreed. theyre pros and waxing is so much less painful than tweezing

Agreed. Go to a salon and get them professionally waxed and shaped. The place I go to costs $15. After that, you already have the shape so you can just tweeze the hair that's growing back yourself. =]

i guess i'm freaked my salon person will over wax and make me look terrible..
i trust her like with my life when it comes to 'fixing me up' but idk..
i wanna stick to at home till i'm really confortable with it.
any more at home tips??
oh and i figured out the end of my brow is right were it should be but the begining isn't.
so i think i'll start there.

I would be more freaked about ruining my eyebrows, than about a professional ruining them.

Just go to the salon they're pros. Then you can just use the tweezers to keep it intact. The problem with waxing is that you have to keep getting it done or you end up looking silly.

I think your eyebrows look fine the way that they are right now. The first time, I went to the salon and had them waxed. Salon people are experienced so they hardly mess up. Plus, your eyebrows will grow back in about 2 weeks anways.

At the salon, ask the person to shape them. Say you don't want them too thin.

I'd go to the salon to get my brows waxed if I was you.
At least for the first time to get an intial shape to them

I'd let a salon expert do it, or your mom. The first time I got mine done, my mom did them. She didn't pluck enough for my liking, but it made a huge difference, and mothers will do everything possible to not over-pluck. I mean...mom's always want you to look your best, y'know'

Yeah.
If you don't wanna go to the salon then i would suggest talking to your mum?
I use to get my mum to do it for mum untill it got too sore and gave up the hope of her doing them. I do it myself sometimes, but i get really pissed off at myself with the pain. So i just do it when i really need to. I use to have like really really bad eyebrows..

I wouldnt be scared of the salon, make sure you tell them what size you want and they shape them for you, they are really good! The place i go to every few months to reshape is 10. Really, they know how eyebrows should be shaped!

Please DO NOT get pluck happy. I suggest going to a salon or beauty therapist becuase sometimes people who do them themseves just end up fucking them up.
But heres a small guide I found for you:

Search on google for some more guides.
Good luck with that :D

i was wondering about salons... where exactly do yo go? like a hair place? or a nail place?
???

Okay. Those bad boys def. need waxing. Plucking takes TOO long and is irritating.
Waxing only hurts for the initial second and it's done in like 5 seconds.

Go to the same place you get your hair cut at.
Just tell them you need an appointment for an eyebrow waxing/plucking or whatever.

Get them done at a salon.
There are lines on your face you can work out where they should start and stop etc but your beautician will know. It's more likely that you will stuff it up than them. Just make sure you tell them what you want before it is started. Then afterwards, just pluck yourself.

Salons are much better at deciding what kind of shape will be better for your face.
&& if you don't want to get them waxed everytime, you can just use tweezers.
However, you should go back everyonce & a while.
Keeps your shape and the like.
But that's just me.
Really, you should do what you are more comfortable with.
