I had it done without my parents permission when I was 12.
Although, It depends where your from.

in connecticut there's a new law that even with parent's permission you have to be sixteen to get anything but your ears pierced. other than that, all safe places will only accept you if you're 18+ in america without a parent. piercing through scars is probably do-able, just more painful.

Here in Hawaii most places will do it when you are atleast 16 years old with parental permission. I found a place that doesn't need parental permission when you are 16 though.

Why not just wait til you are 18?
I know it`s a long ways away, but it`ll be easier.

Over here you have to be 16 to get it done without parental permission.. You should just go ask at places.. it would be more helpful than asking us since we don't all come from the same places..

Usually 16. Why don't you ask your local piercing parlor? As sometimes it can be 18. I got mine pierced at 15 though, at this place........
