Its kinda bold and out there, I want a gold metallic one in this style but not this exact one. Its inexpensive, and it looks it. But what do you think of it??

I wouldn't wear THAT one, but I have a black bathing suit of that style (the strap down the middle). Anyway, very Summer '06.

if you're going to go for a bold swimsuit design, don't add any more dimensions to it like the metallic and vice versa. It sort of screams for attention.

Excuse me? Metallic is NOT so last year, metallics are actually one of this season's biggest must-haves. Get a clue :)

Anyway, it's incredibly tacky. Metallic gold clothing items have remained in the 70's for a reason.

metalic is not last year. watch the designer collections, and read a couple of FASHION(people doesnt count) magazines before you act like you know what you are talking about. american vouge did a huge metalic spread in the march 2007 issue.
Excuse me? Metallic is NOT so last year, metallics are actually one of this season's biggest must-haves. Get a clue :)
^^she knows what shes talking about, listen to her. and me=].^^
on another note, i wouldnt wear it(the swimsuit), i dont like thoes ones with all the complicated cut outs. you get terrible tan lines. and THAT is very last year, not metalic.

The first word that comes to mind is "trampy", when I see that garbage.
The swimsuit is entirely skimpy and the color is.....gross.

04-28-2007, 07:14 PM
Save your money for something less risky. I think it would be strange to see someone in the beach wearing that. It's just too much. But If you 'have' to get it, get it in a navy blue, black, or raspberry.

Metalics are so in... being tacky is not. I mean its up to you but that looks like you are just wanting attention, plus to wear that you'd have to have an amazing body. There are so much more out there, you dont have to look like a hooker and thats what that swim suit says to me
SiNSATiONAL-55
04-28-2007, 09:49 PM
I have a great tummy/sides/waist, so I think a shape like that would accent it nicely. And I wouldnt actually wear it to the beach or a public swimming pool. Just like a friends swimming pool, or specifically a pool party. And its not gonna be as metallic. I just couldnt find a picture of the exact one i want.

Agreed. Although that one may not be my top choice..if you like how it looks, if it dresses well on you and your body parts arent hanging out and if you dont look like a whore..go for it!

I know lol....I think that people are just thinking of it more as a one piece so it looks like its missing fabric and has less than a one piece.....but its more of a bikini lol.

No darling, it does not look like it's missing fabric, it looks like it's missing style, and a little something I like to call class. That type of bathing suit is very spring-summer '06, hence the lacking style part, and the color, though trendy, is horrible with said bathing suit, you would look like a hooker, hence the lacking class part.
In conclusion, you're going to wear it anyway, aren't you? Yes, you are. You're not going to get rthe approval you were probably seeking on here (at least not from anybody fashion-forward), but you're going to wear it anyway.

I agree. If it looks nice on you go for it. And I trust that you say its not as shiny as that one, so Id say try it on, bring a friend along and ask what she thinks. Then buy it if she says its nice and you feel it looks nice. As long as your not extreme grinding/gyrating at a party, or getting pissed drunk and acting stripperish or slutty at pool partys, your fine.
