Ok so I decided to post here becausethe only other forum I post on is a piercing forum and would therefore be biased.
I currenly have my left lobe stretched to 3mm/8g, and my right lobe at 6mm/2g, and recently I've got my highest artialge piercing to 4mm/6g 9stretching slowly of course)
Now Iall but about one of my friends at school think they're disgusting, the one who doesn't think they are just likes looking through the hole in my cartilage.
So waht do you all think, do you think stretched piercings are disgusting, ok, great or anything else?
If any of you haven't guessed I'm kinda obsessed with them :)

I really don't know how big that is, but stretched piercings are really gross. One of my friends has a stretched ear lobe and he took out his earring and stuck his finger in his hole, that was SOO gross. It just looks REALLY painful.....
Carlu
04-25-2007, 05:53 AM
Heck it's not painful, i t shouldnt be anyway, my biggest isn't big enough to get my little finger all theway through, the 6mm one is about 1/4 of an inch if that helps with the sizes the 3mm is about 1/8 of an inch and the cartilage is a tiny weeny bit bigger than that. :)

I think it's pretty awesome, personally. But then again, I'm fully for body modifications of any kind. Why stick with the stock model when you can customize? :D

I like them. Except, i don't think many people look good with the really super huge stretches.. But if that's what they like, then more power to 'em.
I have three earlobe piercings in each ear, and they're all stretched. The bottom ones are both 2 gauge, next are 4, and third are 6. But i'm really thinking about moving the bottom ones up to 0(and then the other two up to 2 and 4).

why do you have your lobes stretched at different gauges?
cartilage stretches are weird, but not gross.
i have my lobes at a 4g. i was gonna go to 2, but i found 4g plugs that i fell in love with, so i'm staying at 4g.
i accidentally stretched my conch to a 12, though. it was a 16. idk how it happened, but it's a 12 now lol.

and i think you will regret it in a few years!!
lol.
you can take them out and let them heal.
if you go past 0, though, they most likely won't heal all the way back up.

I don't really like them...there kind of gross. Plus when your older your just going to have a massive hole in your ear.
But thats just me...everyone is entitled to do what they want to their body so if you love them then I say good luck with it. :D

I like stretched piercings... I just think people should really consider what they'll look like if they ever decide they don't want them anymore.

I hate it when people (not just you lot I mean everyone, not just to me either) say "you'll regert that when you're older.
I know people with piercings/tattoos/ stretched piercings who are 50 and over, one of my good friends is 36 and has never regretted her 12mm stretches
But alas, each to their own :) Some people like them, some people don't, I now spend my time freaking out the people in my school with them
Oh and in reply to why I have them at different gauges, I only planned to stretch the right, then it didnt look good on it's own so I started on the left.

Once it starts changing the shape of the ear it looks bad and just becomes clownish. My lobes are at a 2g. The already closed once. I had a few layers of skin over the back. I'm going to a 0. Which is one stretch and a few days away. My friend wants to be able to stick a pen through it.

LOL Im all for body modification. Im a piercer myself however, these kids who are doing it to be oh so scene or whatever dont realise that one they hit 70 theree 'healed up earlobe' now has a gaping hole in it.
The older your get the less collagen in your skin, less collagen means saggy skin. The elasticity of your skin goes, leaving you with a whole that was once healed but now is massive.
I love big ones. I hate the stupid little spikes kids put in there ears.

It'll be gross when you're 80 and your ear lobes hang to your shoulders. O_o
When it comes to body modification, my opinion often depends on long-term affects as well. What looks cool when you're young won't look cool when you have a life. So it really just depends on whether that bothers you or not. If not, by all means, have at it. It's just not my cup of tea. There are other ways to seek attention I'd prefer.

I kinda like them, but only the small ones, say being ble to put your little finger through. Any bigger and I start to feel a little ill thinking about it.

I don't think they're disgusting if they are not huge, like 0g. I have 6g in both ears and then 10g in the second piercing.

Stretched piercings are okay as long as they're not too big.
Just my opinion.

in my personal opinion, if you can see through them clearly they're too big. but, certain sizes don't ever shrink...so i guess whoever gets those done are gonna be badass4lyfe.

I see nothing wrong with it.
As long as you don't think you'll regret it, who cares what anyone else will think.
I'm stretching mine up to 00 then I plan to stop, I'm at 2 now.
I don't think it'll be too big of a deal for me, cuz I plan on working with computers out of my own home, or being a piercer, so whichever of the two I choose, my piercings won't effect my career =].
