I was driving by a local car dealership and it came right at me. A 98 Saturn(I think its a 2nd generation SC), not sure about the mileage, but it's a coupe, manual transmission, a few scratches here or there but other than that it looks fine. I couldn't see the mileage because it's one of those gay cars where you have to turn the car on to see the mileage.

SOOOO... I really don't know shit about Saturn's, but I just read on Edmunds.com that manual transmission Saturn's get 40 MPG, which is amazing.

So other than that, how do they run? Are they dependable? How many miles should I expect out of it until it goes down the shitter?

Thanks

Saturns are good cars. Their just different. Their made by GM which makes great cars, and the Saturn Aoura (sp?) just won a huge BEST CAR award.

Plus the SC's have plastic body panels, so dent and rust resistant. And 1.9L saturns are fun to drive

i worked at Saturn for a bit, i woudl suggest a Aura over a SC. and as far as KM/Miles go it all depends on how you take care of it

Aura is BRAND NEW, and while it is better, it also starts at around $23,000 dollars which judging from what the op is looking at, it far out of thier price range.
