I have dark brown/black hair. And I really want to get highlights. What color(s) do you think would look the best with my hair color?

A lighter brown color.
A sort of a caramel color.
Some sort of red.
Any of the three would look great.

if you want unnatural colors anything will look good bc your hair is dark, you could do red or blue or pink.

but if you want naturalish colors then go with what was already suggested

One of my friends said that I could use like some color of brown highlights + like a blonde. How do you think that would look?

It depends on your skin tone & what color blonde you'll get.
But I'd get brown with just a hint of blonde.

I find blonde highlights with brown hair do look shitty... they go brassy, they discolour pretty quick and they just look wierd....


At the moment I have dark chocolate/light espresso colour with a chestnut highlight in it and it looks pretty good.

The darkest colour in my hair is the darkest colour in her, the lightest is that middle brownie colour. if you are going to go for blonde highlights though.. with me i hate highlights they look to perfect so I did splices, thick and thin highlights and it breaks your colour up alot more and doesnt make it look so boring I guess.

Are you asian by a chance? I think a hint of redish brown would look awesome, my roomate did that and it looks awesome. Stay away from blonde...
