Well yesterday, I just bought an ordinary polka dot tote from American Eagle. Only problem is, I thought it'd be normal size..but come to my surprise..it definitely is an Oversized tote.
Now I'm more of a small framed girl, and I'm not sure if I'd look like a complete retard walking down the street with it. It looks fine from the front, but from the side you can deifnitely tell its a bit wide and long. I can't part from it because I adore it, so maybe you guys could tell me your opinions on oversized totes?
I guess the whole purpose of an oversized tote IS to be/look OVERSIZED, but I'm still a little iffy on it. I don't really even have a lot to put in it besides....let me think....um...my wallet. =\ Any other things you guys could think of that I could stuff in my bag, because it does look a little better when there's actually things in it.

I like huge bags. I think they look best with big sunnies and skinny jeans. I have loads to put in my bags. College diary, make-up, hair brush and mirror, mobile, my big wallet, a pen, sunglasses, magazine or book. If I'm wearing a scarf that day and it gets hot, i normally throw that in there too.

i love them, even if they are a little big.

Why would you want to carry around a bag that's that big?

I love oversized tote bags, they're the only bags i can put all my shit in and still have space for more,, i usually use them for school.
If you like the bag use the bag, no point buying it and not using it.
Who cares if people say it looks a little odd,, just stuff them in there an your bags gunna look full then, two problems solved :D

I like it, the size would probably put me off too, but if worn with the right things then it could look pretty glam.
Otherwise, if theres not too much of a pattern on it then get a machinist to take it in, tote's are a simple shape and it wouldnt take someone long to make it smaller for you.

Just fill it with crap like..phone, camera, bottle of water, food, a notebook etc etc... random things!

Maybe use it as an alternative backpack or something, because its kinda of useless just to put random crap in to make it look full.

i'm a guy and i see small girls all the time with big bags and it looks fine to me, i kinda think it looks better when girls have oversized ones.

plus girls are lucky, you can stuff alot of crap in there. its not fair.lol, the closest thing we got is a messanger bag, and if we carry it around to much, lol, people will acuse us of using it as a purse.lol
if only years ago, guys tried using purses, it would be accepted by now.
