it's a 99 s-10.. we can get all the bolts off but to take the wire off we can't get to it. most of the time when you take a starter off the starter will come down some and you can get to the wires really easy. but on this one it won't. and there's no way to get to the wire like that. we even tried taking the wheel off and going through the wheel well but the exhaust manifold is in the way :happysad:

Consult Haynes and/or Chilton.

I really recommend getting one of those from your local auto parts store.

I have both for my car.

the chilton one sucks. or it might've been a haynes. i donno. but i bought one to help me remove some interior pieces.

I ended up re-shrinkwrapping the manual and returning it. didn't help

Haynes is WAY better than Chilton.

I got the Chilton first, then decided it sucked, so I got Haynes. But its good to have both.

Never used/heard of them.

Seems they mostly do Honda stuff. I guess.

i know how to do it now :jump: all you have to do is take off the exhaust manifold and go in through the wheel well. i don't know how hard that is going to be though but it's the only way.
