Reflection

Have you ever looked at your reflection
And hated who was there?
Have you ever tried to run away and hide
Or find someone who cared?
No one wants to share your pain
Because they have problems too
And so you sit alone and cry
Because there's nothing else to do
You cannot fix it on your own
And no one cares to help
They simply sit and wonder why
You sit and hate yourself

I have looked at my reflection
And I hate who I see
I scream, I cry, I rant and rave
But you don't notice me
No one near can hear my pain
Because theirs is worse than mine
But as they deal with day to day
I feel I'm running out of time
I cannot fix this on my own
And because no one's there to help
You'll have to sit and wonder why
I could not survive myself
