what do you want it for? For gaming I suggest widescreen, if you're not much of a gamer I suggest Dual 19s

I would never suggest dual monitors.

If you're not gaming all you really are using it for is extra space for desktop/applications and stuff. Dual monitors are best for that.

I'm with Nikias on this one... (dam you are full of words of wisdom)...
I have ran duel screens before and it works well.. non important things on 1 screen.. active things on another..
But hey, duel wide screens, if you can afford it you get best of both worlds lol
I would never suggest dual monitors.

wtf? youre a fаg. dual screens owns, ive been using dual for like a year and a half. whats so bad about dual huh?
if youre gaming get a CRT... lcds are shit unless you wanna spend big bucks, but you did say money isnt a problem so go for it get a 2ms one.

i have two 21" HP CRTs and theyre fantastic.
Dual monitors are awesome if your graphics card supports them. CRTs are cheaper, the screen quality is generally better, and you never have to worry about dead pixels.

Then buy it =)
I've got 2 dead pixels =(... I can't notice them unless the screen is black... one is right down the botom and the other is on the very right of the screen...

sadly you cant take back flat screen monitors with dead pixels, even if they are one second old.
you have to have 3 or more pixels in a 2 square inch area before its classified as a fault. certainly in england, anyway, not sure if its the same in the US but i assume so

Why on earth would you want flat screens or LCD?
Stick to good old fashioned monitors >.> Less pain on the eyes.
actually LCD gives less pain on the eye in comparison to CRT... well debatable, if you have your refresh rate 85hz + then it is just as flicker free as an LCD.
but yeah theres really no reason to get an LCD unless you have limited desk space. CRT is still the best thing out there.

My dads LCD gives me head aches after about 30 mins or so.
I can spend pretty much 2/3 days sat infront of my big old box. (Well, i gotta waste weekends some how)
meh yeh i use 75hz for my monitors... if you stare at it maybe unfocus your eyes you can see a tiny bit of flicker, otherwise its pretty good... any lower like 60hz though just major eye stain...

I hate 60 hz... When I see peoples computer screen with 60 hz, especially on white screens it's like FS! *ups it*

yeah i keep both of mine on 85Hz
you have to pay good money to get an LCD thats not really grainy and shit quality.
reallyreallyreallysharp ones are ££££

I still stand by my choice of having all LCD screens blown up.

Lol, i dont really have the choice to use a CRT just because of I use a laptop. I always thought LCD's where better then CRT's but then you learn something new every day...
BTW. Duel monitors would be sweet....
lcds are just popular cause they take up hardly any space (with the added advantage of lower power consumption) otherwise they are inferior to CRT.

They're also easier to smash over someone's head. CRTs are heavier, and the glass will most likely not break on someone's head. LCD you have a good chance of their head going right through, a much better chance then with CRT because you can get a better swing and it's not like 2 inches of glass.
hah... my friends threw a brick at a CRT and the brick broke leaving the monitor intact...
though the CRT has the advantages of its neck crushing, skull shattering weight, as well as the added bonus of sucking someones head into a vacuum apon breaking the glass on them.

You've never used a good LCD then. My 2407 has much better color accuracy, sharpness, brightness, and is all around better than my old 19" Viewsonic Professional CRT. It was about a year ago that LCD technology surpassed CRT technology, and your personal bias is no longer correct. Even the lower end Samsung displays are much better than your average CRT.

Hm you make a good point. If you can get the momentum going you are going to do a lot more damage. However the LCD, while perhaps more survivable, would also be much more dramatic.
