What do you guys think about giving celebrities guns (http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=31c9ec79e726ac2ef858b493cf9d87d7.1577591&fr=yvmtf) and the authority to become cops for a small town and filming it? It doesn't really seem fair, or sets a good example when celebrities, such as Jack Osborne, who have a history of drug use are given guns. They are trained and given the ability to apply deadly force by a television network in the name of ratings.

I don't think it should be taken that seriously, since they are just being trained to the point of ride alongs in Muncie, IN. Doesn't seem like they'd have too much violent crime there. The previews look like their all having fun and learning cool cop stuff.

So I just saw the first episode last night. There's a lot of dignity when it comes to making them cops, and from the police officers that take those celebs on ride alongs. They don't take crap from them (and the cast doesn't dish it) and they genuinely put their all into the training and when on patrol. So far, lots of crack problems in Muncie, IN.

I was really surprised to see how little training they received. Maybe the show cut most of it out because they thought it was boring and wanted to go straight to the "COPS" action.

Giving La Toya Jackson a gun was scary, but she passed the test. And Jack Osbourne has been handling guns since he was a 6 or 9, and he was an excellent shot. I would trust him to be responsible. (A surprise on my part!) All in all, a little too much focus on La Toya, and we need more on Trish Stratus, because she's my new hero.

I saw the show last night, too. It was way better than I thought. There's a scene where Erik Estrada arrests an old lady in her nightgown for drug trafficking. She's like "Oh, Ponch, I wish we could have met a different way." It was probably a dream come true for her. Ha!

The last episode was kind of weird with La Toya and her extreme fear of cats. Also, it was more fans of Erik Estrada getting into being arrested by "Ponch." Also- Erik Estrada is the only Latino on the force, I am really surprised they don't have Spanish speaking interpreters on the force. I know! It's Indiana, but Spanish is just becoming more and more prevalent throughout all the US. Maybe in 5 years.

I thought it was cute when the older lady went to ask him to sign her boob. She was giggling like a school girl and then pulled out her prosthetic boob for him to sign. Genius!

I like the show but I *really* hope they had more training than what we saw.
