Hey, I've been curious about corset piercings for a while.
Does anyone on here have one/ever had one?

If so, I was wondering how painful it is. I was also wondering if you can safely keep it for extended periods of time.

They dont even look good IMO.

They would look good if someone didn't get theirs infected, but the only thing worse than a puffy, red piercing is 10 puffy, red piercings.

of Course, coming from me, I think they look good. But you have to be so careful. No one under the age of 18 should even consider it. Wait till you're older and have thought about it for longer.

I'm all for body piercings but there's a limit...that's not decoration, that's MUTILATION.

There not a very good piercing, there pretty but not that good. Surface piercings are bad but when you put 10 down a side and wrap ribbons and stuff through it gets worse. if one gets infected the next one does and it just spreads.

if you were looking for it as a temporary thing 3 - 5 months at most, take your time getting them pierced. Get the first and last ones pierced at once and then once they healed do the same. this should reduce the chance of infection.

they dont heal too welll but if you want it get it. Its a piercing just monitor it. If it looks yuck take them out, if its painful after it heals take them out etc.


if you really dont mind about the scarring get it done. if you do mind, 9 / 10 people are left with hideous scars.


Only ever go to the best piercing in your state. Make sure there using surface jewlery not ring and ball. Thats going to cause some issues, most surface jelwerys use teflon. tygon stuff like that. Discuss the piercing on many occasions with the piercer dont just walk in and go hey want to do my piercing?

Ask what they can offer you in return, aftercare visits, infection control etc.

If you want to get one and attempt to actually make it last, then get it done with surface bars.. NOT rings like in the pictures you guys posted. Those will almost definitely not last.

One of my friends desperately wanted to get one of these but I convinced her not to! For what it costs and the pain I told her I didn't think it was worth. Plus honestly, I really don't find that cool or hot.

well it looks interesting...but it can't be practicle and there are probably rediculess risks involved.

They look kinda cool, I suppose, on the right person. I'd never get it done.

My friend told me about them recently, it looks cool, but its far too risky. As a person who assumes the worst, I hate to think of all the things that can get caught on the strings...*shudders*

I think they're pretty, but definitely very temporary. The majority of people that have them done have them done for a special occasion, then take them out straight away afterwards. They are generally done with Captive Bead Rings (CBRs, BCRs), but some people try to make them a bit more permanent by using surface bars with slave rings attatched to them, as surface bars are definitely the best designed jewellery for surface type piercings, though that's no guarantee that they'll last.

I had a clevage surface piercing done back in November and I had to take it out at the end of December as it started to reject that soon. It's left a little scar, but personally I think it looks quite pretty. The quicker you take them out, the less scarring it'll result in. But like I've said, it's best done just for a special occasion.

Its likely just a coincidence, but after looking at the pictures of the piercings, I have some mad headache out of nowhere.

I think they look gross. In my opinion it's just a new way of getting attention.

I love corset piercings. But honestly, I would never get one because I am scared to pierce my skin.
