Hopefully this is the right place for this.

Hey everyone.. I'm planning on getting an industrial piercing done on Friday. Have any of you done this and if so how bad did it hurt on a scale from 1 to 10?
Also, do you guys think I should do it?

Lol. I have my bellybutton done and I had my nose but I didn't like it so I let that close up. As long as it doesn't hurt as much as my nose I'll be happy.

Ooooh....I love industrials. They look sweet, and if you get it done with the bar in you can use it for both a bar and a pair of little earrings if you want. I found out about and became smitten with the idea of them in this thread. (http://www.gothic.net/boards/showthread.php?t=3768)

Apparently they hurt but it's not terrible, I reckon it'd be like getting your ear pierced but a little worse. My sister's friend told me it wasn't too bad and her belly button was much worse, if that makes a difference.

My friend had that done a month or two ago. She said it wasn't too bad, the worst part was sliding the bar in. If you want the piercing I'm sure you can handle it.

My industrial was my first and least painful piercing. Once the first piercing is done your ear gheats up and goes numb from the adrenaline. You need to go to a decent piercer though who knows how to do them not just thinks they know how to do them otherwise they do fuck up. Mine fucked up realllll bad.

They have to be straight. if they are crooked it fucks up the healing and dements your ear. I always pierce industrials using a ruler. Also go for a bar that is about 2 mm longer then what you need. this gives way for swelling infections cleaning everything.

Im pretty over industrials as every man and his dog have them done now but you can personalise it Ill show you some pics of personalised ones. I had 3 orbitals going through mine so it looked like a spiral bar was wrapped around the industrial.

When you personalise it though, go to a good piercer and draw out the piercing otherwise itll fuck up.

a girl on my bus got it done about a year ago
she said it was extremely painful , one piercing she would never do again
she said hers took about 8 months to heal and was still painful to sleep on after 2 months
