ok for guys or anyone with knowlage on men's hair. Im trying to grow my hair out and wondering the best approach.

Is it best to continue to let it grow? Or should I be trimming it every so often (how much?), or having it texturized or any special treatment?

Also my hair gets quite frizzy, but i hate the greasy look and I hate my hair hard like a rock. It seems most products seem to do one or the other to my hair. Does anyone have any recomendations on products I could use, if I should be using any?

Don't cut it unless it absolutely needed, that's all I have to say cause you'll regret it if its done wrong.

Another thing also is that my hair always aggrivates me on the top. the top always looks like its glued flat down on the top of my head.

Anyone know anyways around this?

When you go in to get your hair cut again, tell them the style you are looking for, (bring in a picture) and then they will give you some recomendations. To add some body to you hair, take a few sections at the top where it is flat, pull it up, hold it... then near the roots spray hairspray, blow dry the spot so it drys quicker, and then take a comb where you just applied the hairspray and go down on it a few times, your hair shouldn't be flat if you do this properly.... if you understood this !

I hate having to regrow shoulder length hair.

My hair was terrible before it got past my shoulders. Now it's still pretty bad, but slightly better than before.

if you use a matt clay it doesnt give shine or rock hard hold just natural and reduces firzzy ness and style it a little bit. Dont cut it or texturise it yet. Grow it about 2 inches more then you want the sdtyle then get it done. Hair dressers are scissor happy and dont understand the word trim so if you cut it now youll lose the length.

if your trying to grow it longer massage your skelp while your in the shower and have shampoo/conditioner in your hair.. it helps the blood flow better in your head which helps your hair grow slightly faster
as for hair alone an adverage persons hair will grow half an in a month so youll just half to be patient sorrie

I seem to have this self conscious aggrivation with the back of my head (hair) On the bottom it curls up and is really thick. I like it curling behind my ears a little so its sticking out on the sides, but the back is really aggrivating me (on my neck).

Would it be weird to keep the length on the top and sides and let it keep growing while keeping the back short?

neways, u cant change ur genetics regarding ur hair texture. Definately talk to a cosmotologist and make sure u wash ur hair everyday. dont cut unless u havta. Buyinh like volumizing shampoo and conditioner would be good. try not to wear hats
