Okay everyone on here is always saying how everyone wears abercrombie & fitch, American Eagle, and Hollister and complaining that everyone looks like clones because thats what 99% of their school wears. Does anyone else live wear this is not the case? Where I live, abercrombie is definately NOT the "cool brand" the "prep brand" or the brand the "popular kids" wear. People wear abercrombie only for really super casual things and around there house and barely anyone shops at american eagle or hollister. Around here the "it" brands are lacoste, ralph lauren, and lily pulitzer. Is it this way where anyone else lives or is my town just odd and behind the times? lol. Sorry, this was just bothering me. hehe.

Hmmm, you must have a lot of money then.
I usually shop where there's a sale or something, although I do like some of the things they sale at AE.

We don't have abercrombie & fitch but we have American Eagle and nobody cares if somebody wears it or not.
Not only preps or whatever wear it, anybody does.

I'm in the ghetto. We don't even have those stores here in town. They do have them though in a mall 1 hour away. Very few people wear stuff from here. Mainly people just get whatever.

There isnt really an issue were at my collage or where i live people have to dress in certain clothes to look good
We wear what we want, sometimes the boys will be obsessed with a certain label , but never the girls, we wear any label as long as the clothes are nice.
Us gals in collage dont ever wear labels, coz we just arent concerned with it, we will wear sporty labels, like mckenzie tracksuits, but there is no "iN" label x

Everyone I know where's Abercrombie & Fitch. That's the main line of clothing where I live. There is a few a kids abercrombie so the littler kids that can't fit into Abercrombie and Fitch can shop at too. My sister and all her friends even wear it, they are like only 10/11 years old.

Hollister is really big at my school. But everyone wears it, it's not really a status symbol.

But Delias is up there too. And Forever 21.

Depends on what high school you go around here, most of the white people wear trashy clothes, and wal mart stuff, and the rest wear cool urban stuff *not white average*.

That's not cool in my area, except I totally wear that sometimes cause I love to be different.

you wear whatever, i don't look at what other people wear to be honest...

i hate the urban *ghetto* look though, i prefer just jeans and a t-shirt

Holister is the main thing at my school. Then Abercrombie, then American Eagle, and lastly Aeropostle. I only shop at the last two though

Its not really all that popular in my town although alot of the guys do where it. Most of the girls in my town and at my school dress in lacoste, helly hansen, designers, close from some of the boutiques in the area. Abercrombie is okay i mean i own a few shirts but chances are if you wear a Abercrombie shirt your gonna see atleast one other person during the day wearing the same thing. I use to love Abercrombie jeans but after i got my first pair of D/G jeans i didnt realize what i had been missing, but Abercrombie jeans are good for the price.

Everything is pretty chill here. We don't care who wears what but a lot do wear a&f, hollister (like me but this is old: FOREVER 21 here I come!), and AE.

Whats sad is some teachers wear AE too...

i go to a ghetto school, and i am one of the only white girls there.
i usually wear, juicy couture, lacoste, true religions, bebe, sevens for all mankind, joe's, anything from metropark.
but at my school, seeing as how its mainly black, mexican, and asian, the "popular" brands are rocawear and that stuff...

compared to most brands though, abercrombie is cheap.

To thread starter: I agree with everyone who says you must live in a super rich area if Abercrombie is just comfortable clothing. Where I live, it's no longer the most important thing to have (it's moved on to Hollister) but it's still relatively expensive.
