Okay the problem: My hair. Why I hate it?:Because I will never wear it down without straightening it and even then at time's I end up putting it back into a ponytail like always. Things I've tried: Dove,Sunsilk and I've even went to the salon to have them thin my hair. Nothing works! Is there any shampoo/conditioner/cream that will help make my hair more straight, sleek and shiny..?

Hm..I'll have to look into that. Do you know if it's costly?

Yeah of course it is. But it's the best. Worth every penny.

jap hair straightening is silly. way to expensive.

all you need to do is take more time straigthening your hair, put more protien treatments in, use a hair protectant spray and a serum and it will stay straight for about 4 days.

IT'S ONLY LIKE 100 DOLLARS.THAT'S NOT THAT MUCH. IT LASTS LIKE 6 MONTHS.

^^ Uh, where are you going? Most J-perms seem to last longer and cost over #100.

Anyway, try Frizz-ease--it really, really works! I sometimes use mousse and/or gel to keep my own curls in shape, with a Frizz-ease spray to help. There are so many ways to wear curly or wavy hair, just play around with it. Straightening it will just damage it! Be proud of your DNA...straightening sometimes is fine but it really damages hair and it gets boring after awhile...

and then you get Pantine ' Get it Stright Smoothing Gel or Moose ' .. and then blow dry your hair !

You also need a good quality strightner that is ceramic. then you'll have wonderful hair !

oh and by the way. it is alittle costly, and i know it sucks to spend money on somthing you hate  .. but dont worry its only like 7 or 8 dollers for a normal sized bottle.. and its like 16 $ for a huge ass bottle that lasted me and my mom about ... 3 months. its a better deal for the big bottle by the way :)

Nonono...don't use Pantene!
Pantene has silicone in it which makes hair look shiny and pretty but it just damages your hair even more!
My friend who works at a salon told me this and I trust her word on it.

your hair is so 'perfect' because it has alot of silicone coating it. if you were to go to a hair dresser and get any coours put in or foils your hair would steam up because of the reaction.

You need to buy a cleansing shampoo an use that for a while to get rid of the silicone then use anything that isnt an 'expensive supermarket brand' your paying for the silicone not the quality

just wait for the times to change
you probably only want straight hair because its in?

blow dry it straight using serum and a brush?

The only things that work for me are tresemme and john frieda products, i tried everything else, but none worked, these do, even if they are a little expensive.
and if i try to blow dry my hair, i wil frizz , and make my hair lot worse than before, so i just use a straightener.

My hair is just like yours, and I can usually get it pretty straight, but it's a fairly long process. First of all, I got mine chemically straightened because it wasn't working well for me to JUST manually straighten it... it's easier to straighten now, but I still have to use different products on it and use a straightener.

The first step in my long hair straightening process is shampooing, of course. I use Herbal Essence Dangerously Straight shampoo. Then I condition using Herbal Essence None of Your Frizziness conditioner. After that, I deep condition using Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine deep conditioner.

After deep conditioning, I apply a heat protectant in the shower called Let's Jam Heat Styles. It's actually supposed to be applied to dry hair, but it makes your hair INSANELY greasy and weighted down. It also makes it more prone to curl, because once your hair waves or gets bent, all of the grease will make it stick there. So I put it in while I'm still in the shower and then rinse my hair.

I then comb out my hair, and put a dime sized drop of CHI silk infusion in there and finger it through my hair. Now, this product is professional and expensive, so I would highly reccomend seeing if you can get it from the salon where you get your hair cut if you go to one. If not, you can get a bottle of it in some beauty supply stores for about 12 dollars... but that bottle holds 2.8 oz. You don't use much at a time, so even the small bottle will last awhile. They sell large 12 oz bottles, but those cost about 40 bucks... too expensive unless you really want straight hair.

After putting the CHI in my hair, I let it air dry. When I dry my hair, it frizzes, so I just let it air dry before straightening. I usually just take my showers at night so I'll have time to straighten in the morning.

Once my hair is dry, I straighten it using a Remington Wet to Straight ceramic hair straightener. This straightener has 30 heat settings, with 10 being the highest you should use on dry hair. I usually straighten mine at 10 because it's unmanageable. I would not reccomend straightening your hair wet, because you have to turn up the straightener really high and it makes your hair make a sizzling sound. Not good.

After straightening I add another very small drop of the CHI to make my hair smooth and silky. I then sometimes go over it with the straighener again, so my hair won't look greasy.

And that is how I get my hair straight. Although you want straight hair, I would only reccomend straightening 1-3 times a week, especially if your hair is unmanageable and you have to use a lot of products on it.

Garnier Fruitis is GREAT-it's pretty natural, smells good, and makes my hair so soft and shiny. I have very thick, long, naturally wavy hair that I blow dry straight and cut in layers. I used to hate my hair because a few years ago it used to be bushy, fizzy, dry and poufy. Then I grew it out, straightened it, conditioned it, and got a nice cut and it's gorgeous now! everyone loves my hair. Do what I do: use garnier fuitis shampoo and conditioner; deep condition once a week (and consider a hot oil treatment once a month); have a stylist razor in layers, and blow dry it straight with straightening balm and a round brush.

I love the smell and everything but it seems to be like all the others, smells good but doesnt seem to help too much.:( I dont know what else to try..I hate my hair! I hardly ever have it down for many reasons, such as it poofs out to much! Im getting so frusturated! Lol Anyways, any other ideas on what to use?

I use a really good extra conditioner by aussie its called 3 minute miracle and they do it for different styles say like if u want to get rid of spilt ends it helps an there is a de-frizz one. heres the website if u want to have a look: www.aussiehair.com

Pantene is so bad for your hair.

I have pretty much the same problem as you...my hair is always up pretty much because I hate it so much. I use John Frieda Straightening shampoo and conditioner, and then put in sunsilk creme for frizz (the green one) and the straightening creme (the purple one), then use my straightner on the highest setting, and then usually my hair looks okay. You just need to get a straightener that gets hot enough and that should help. Try the John Frieda shampoo too.

You have to go to a good salon if you want it done right. So don't just go to any random salon and ask them about their straight perm. Only certain salons do the "Japanese straight perm".
